Can spouse leave to home country after filing concurrent i140 and 485 application?
Her and mine application (concurrent 140 and 485) was filed on July 2nd, 2007but I have not received RECEIPT # yet. Can my spouse leave USA or we have to have get Receipt # first ?
Please tell me quickly.

1. Question regarding my I-94 form...
I have one which I got when entered US, 4 yrs back which is expired and after that I got new ones with each H1B application extension.
Should I send all of them or just the latest one? or the one i got while entering (Expired one)
2. Is it possible to travel on old AP While applying for EAD and AP renewal?

Post your resume on job sites and get your H1B transferred, the easiest way would be to find desi consultants on sulekha.

Hello, I am on the same boat... kinda...
I submitted the application with supporting doc paper base on June 2 and they receieved and signed the package on June 7 to NSC
Til today check was not cashed. I called the service center and the lady told me to wait til July 8 to call them again and they will look in to it... and she said since it's summer time NSC is backing up.... and it does take up to 30 days to get anything.
(However, I have been reading... ppl efile seem have better luck to get any movement... some ppl got the EAD card within 20 days!!!!!)
I read some ppl also did paper and after a month... they go for the efile... but I still did not hear if that would creat any problems...
I don't mind to waste the 340 if it can make my EAD processed....
I would rather have the card in my hand then check my checking account everyday to see if the check was cashed....
anyone did both paper and efile after one another and got approved????
anything helps!

After 12 months of toil I have finally completed the narrative and evidence that I need for an EB-1a (Extraordinary Alien) application. I ab about to complete the I-140 paperwork to go with it.
My questions is this - I have contacted a small number of Immigration attorneys who have quoted me approx $6000 for the whole process. How many of you value think that USCIS would look at my application more favourably if I used a reputed attorney rathen than putting in my own application and paperwork ?

This is really a contentious issue both in the pro and anti immigration communities and it is surprising that it has taken this long for one of the major advocacy groups to raise the issue publicly. . Pro-immigration groups are divided on the strategy question of whether allowing measures to go piecemeal will peel off support for some of the tougher measures like a legalization program. I have traveled many times on AP and not once was I asked about EAD/797. That said, there is no strict rules. Maybe you can keep a copy of the above documents and explain why you lost the originals.

As far as I know, any person can stay in US legally only on one visa at any point of time. That said, the moment you switched to L1, your H1 is invalid. I'm pretty sure that you can't use your previous H1 extension and you have to file for new H1 petition which starts in April 2008.

Hi mane is Brunoruno I've been in the country since jul of 1998, in April of 2001 my father filed for the life act 245 from president Bill Clinton.. on June of 2003 his I-140 got approved so he filed for his I-485 including the dependents which are my mother and I.
Here is the problem
About 2 two years ago my father received a letter of intent to revoke his I-140, so he sent all the RFE. After 4 months processing the intend they still denied his I-140. with his I-140 denied we filed for an appeal with more evidences, but TODAY we received a letter of his I-140 denied, his appeal and the I-485 as well...
Here is my question.. I was a minor at the time when most of this happen.. Today I am 26 years old, got two American citizens kids, but because his process was denied they denied my I-485 as well.. so now i am being kicked out of the country.. is anything that anybody can help me or give me advice or Hope.. please i am desperate..
Is anything that I could file by my self. The letter says to file a motion to reopen with in 30 days? is it worth it? I am going to be deported right of way?

does the employment letter have to be exactly in the same format as described in 'filing your 485 on your own thread' or can it be a simple letter stating the job title, salary, responsibilities etc?........is it ok to file 485 on my own eventhough the rest of the process was handled by attorney?.......for any immigration matters my company just forwards me to their lawyer.......and there is chance the lawyer might get pissed off if I file 485 on my own.......any ideas?
