LOL! I did that already in May and the Local office IO was so incredibly RUDE and unhelpful. She told me absolutely nothing other than confusing me by saying my application was being processed on the East Coast and it would be another 3 months or so....... Bet she was just looking at the "EAC" in my receipt # to come up with "East Coast". I confirmed today it is definitely at TSC.

Hi,
Can some one help me out on the above subject, i had birthcertificate which contains only my Father's name( This birth certificate got from MRO office at AP, India). One of my friend told me that the birth certificate should contain both Mother and Father's Name.
Can some one provide me sample birth certficate , so that it will helpfull to me send to my parents, so that i will get BC from MRO office, AP, India.

Please check with your local Indian consulate if they can issue a BC. If you have a current original passport which includes the names of both your parents, it should work fine. Your original BC is not required.

Do check with your company/lawyer to see if it has been approved. My online status still says 'pending' even though I heard from my manager and lawyer on July 18th regarding the approval of my I-140.

Ombudsman had correctly predicted this fiasco back in June before the dates were made current:
There will be severe consequences from rapid fluctuations in priority dates. If the priority date became current today, due to delayed USCIS processing and thus underutilization of visa numbers, some have predicted that within a few months as many as 500,000 to 750,000 individuals now residing in the United States under a temporary worker visa could apply for a green card. Nice shots, Anders. And you're right on track with your thinking about getting wheel spin to really enhance the photos mixed in with a combination of panning shots as well. There is something about wheel spin and motion that really adds to an image. Cox's pic is a great example and dan13 has some good ones in his gallery too. So the question is how much? Just enough is the answer. One of my buddies is a professional auto racing photographer. He's had mag covers and they fly him around to different tracks, even to Japan. So he's the real deal and very good and his published pans are flawless. But he says it's still trial and error and every track condition is different and it still takes a bunch to get a good one. Now he can get dialed in a lot quicker than most of us, but you get the point. Keep slowing it down until you get it. :) Hope that helps a little. Later, Kevin

I am in a similar situation. But my employer previous employer says he would file for 485 only if I return to my old company.

Depends. If you filed under new fees structure, why pay more and travel to Mumbai if you do not reside in Mumbai. Its a waste of time. On the other hand , if you filed under old fees structure, then H1 fees are much lesser than AP fees. So that would make sense?
Also how many times more are you going to go out of country on H1 again?
I am saying this from experience. My wife was not granted H1 in India recently. They are issuing high number of 221(g)s and she had to return on AP. So consider all this and apply. If you get 221(g) , ask for the passport to be returned without talkin too much (or mentioning AP). It could result into loss of money and frustration in India.
If you are in the same job and have paid for AP already, I dont know why you need H1, unless you dont want to renew AP/EAD.

Had H1 with company X from June 04 to Dec 07. Applied for extension in Jun 07.
Got RFE in Feb 08, received Denial on May 2nd, 08.had 2 options at that moment
(1) Make an appeal ( which i did)
(2) Leave the country in 30 days. ( which i obviously not choosen)
Made appeal. same time applied for H1-B Transfer with Company Y with Premium Processing
on May 29th,2008 through consular processing. Received Approval Notice on Jun 6th, 2008
with Same I-94 number that of company X. I have to get visa stamped with
company Y asap.
--Points to be noted--
(1) paystubb are still generated with company X till current date.
(2) passport coming to expiration on March, 2009
(3) I'm currently working at the client site.(started since Sep, 07)
(4) Did Masters from Jan 2001 to Dec 2003
--PIMS Verification--
I heard new process being put in place.
does any one knows the email id, phone number or fax to whom i should send the I-797 for Verification process. Planning to go Tijuana, Mexico.

Its been real fast. Yesterday I received my Approval letter, today I received my Card in mail.
Application was approved on 13 may after opening SR on 6th may. So canceling INFOPASS... :)

I am working on EAD which expires on 10th Septempber 2008. I filed for my EAD on 25th June, 2008 and with the current processing dates at Nebraska, my guess is that I wont recieve my EAD until later September/early October.
Will I have to stop working for the period when I dont have my EAD? My employer is very co-operative and will bear with me. But what are my options?
My husband is the primary applicant of our 485 petition, so we wont have any issues of going out of status.
I would really appreciate your advice on this.
I am sure your employer knows about the rules around eligibility to work and will not allow any unauthorized to work even for a day past expiry date.
Hope you will get the Renewed EAD soon before expiry of old one.
